Cyberman: Alone Among the Stars (Episode 3: BioDrol)

Image
The PDA entries in this story were prompted by the game “Alone Among the Stars”, you can download it Here . You can follow my twitter here where I do stuff when I do stuff. T here is comfort in the idea that a Cyberman is just a robot; when you look at a Cyberman, it's all you can see, a cold metal exterior, the sounds of pistons extending and reverting, covering for the fizzing sound that can only be heard if you were to foolishly press your face against the metal. It acts inhuman, therefore it can't be human. This was reinforced during the Cyber Wars, which made it significantly easier for soldiers to kill them (emotionally not physically, piercing the metal was still a challenge). To some extent, the Cybermen wanted to believe this too, but for a different reason; to them, a robot is peak performance, never illogical, never inefficient, superior to humans, separating themselves from humans made it easier for the Cybermen to plan mass conversions for them once they left Mond...

The Devouring: A Doctor Who Story

Image
This story is set in no particular continuity, neither my own, some book, or the tv show. Jeremy was walking down the street . He was bored of the interior of the Call Centre in which he worked, so he made a promise to himself to go outside more when he got time off. However, he was also slowly getting bored of the areas in which he walked, same street every time, so today he decided he’d change it up. Instead of turning left and continuing down the street, he turned right, heading into a park area which led into the woods.  Tall pillars of oak reached longingly to the sun, hiding it from the eyes of Jeremy as he trod along the dirt . The path ahead was refreshingly clear of any form of building. He knew where he was going and he knew which areas to stay away from, or so he thought.  On an incline, a man was face down in the dirt. His clothes were ragged, a lime green waistcoat that adorned his upper half. His hair was loose and wavy, dishevelled but not very. Jeremy s...

Cyberman: Alone Among the Stars (Episode 2: Disjointed)

The PDA entries in this story were prompted by the game “Alone Among the Stars”, you can download it Here . You can follow my twitter here where I do stuff when I do stuff. Episode 2: Disjointed As he sat down in the pilot’s chair, Tauron became unconscious. It was decided in earlier Cyberman models that the ship could be better piloted by the AI within the ship than even the mechanised mind of a Cyberman, but these advanced ships still needed a humanoid to move parts, so the Cyberman ships basically hijacked the body of the pilot until it reached the desired location. His limbs worked mindlessly, steering at wheels and pulling at levers, the journey to this new planet took a total of 5 days, it could’ve been 3 if Tauron had specifically set course to this planet instead of letting the ship decide. While the journey went on, his mind was still kept alive. He dreamed of his old life, he was a starry-eyed Redshirt, tan skinned, he seemed to remember being significantly happier, but only...

Cyberman: Alone Among the Stars (Episode 1: Awaken)

Image
The PDA entries in this story were prompted by the game “Alone Among the Stars”, you can download it Here . Episode 1: Awaken In the Spacefleet Arctic base, planet Calis IV, year 5000AD, everyone was dead. All those who had worked here had been killed before being cut up and wired into a cybernetic suit, taking in commands from their superior and pumping fluids through their blood to dull any amount of emotion the brain could have, acting as the stimulus for any biological reaction. A man named the Doctor gazed upon this, and sought to end it all himself, so he did. Hijacking the signal, the Doctor shut down these processes, essentially killing them all again. He left, base in the same state as when it started, littered with the corpses… with a single survivor. Maybe he wasn’t properly converted, maybe he wasn’t properly dead, but for whatever reason, Tauron was sat down, leaning his back against the wall, alive. The promotional message blared in the background. “Welcome to another Spa...
